Carly and Devin met in the summer of 2010. Carly had just graduated from high school and was about to make the big move to attend DePaul University in Chicago. That didn't stop their love from growing, and the couple was long distance for two years. After many trips to and from Chicago, Devin decided to make the big move himself! He started attending Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute to pursue his culinary dreams.
Carly and Devin took their relationship to the next level in the summer of 2013 when they found their first apartment together in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. A few months later, they adopted their first kitten, Tilly from PAWS Chicago - Carly's favorite volunteer spot in the city. A year later, Carly convinced Devin that two is better than one, and they adopted their second kitten, Koko.
The couple is now hustling and bustling in their new home-away-from-home. Carly works as a marketing manager at an advertising agency and Devin is a line cook at the very popular restaurant, Nico Osteria in the Gold Coast neighborhood. They recently found a beautiful new apartment in Lincoln Park close to Lake Michigan (in fact, that's where Devin proposed)! They have a stunning rooftop deck with a view of the Chicago skyline and the lake - it was a beautiful setting!
After five years together, Carly and Devin are very excited to be planning their nuptials and cannot wait to celebrate with family and friends in Grand Rapids, MI in October 2016.
